The Universal Life Insurance policy, (underwritten by Transamerica Occidental Life Insurance Company, Cedar Rapids, IA) is offered to AFT members who are actively at work, on a Guaranteed Issue basis for coverage amounts up to $150,000 (no medical questions, examinations or blood tests required).
Higher amounts of coverage (up to $300,000) are also available; please call or e-mail for additional information. No medical examinations or blood tests are ever required! The Universal Life Insurance policy provides death benefit protection and builds cash values, while offering flexibility—you can choose to change the face amount, or increase or decrease the premium amount—to meet your changing needs. In addition, the Universal Life Insurance policy includes "Living Benefits," which includes a Long Term Care rider, Waiver of Premium rider, Lay-off provision and an Accelerated Death Benefit rider.
