AFT+

The AFT + is striving to bring a wide range of affordable, quality benefits to AFT Members and their eligible family members. We are pleased to announce that our no-cost term life insurance for new AFT members has been increased to $12,000. We also have improved the voluntary group term life insurance program. Both term life insurance plans now include Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage. In addition, the AFT + offerings now also offers a Universal Life Insurance policy; members actively at work are eligible for guarantee issue of up to $150,000 of coverage.

$12,000 No-Cost Term Life Insurance
Available to new AFT members during their first year of membership. (New members only.)

Voluntary Group Term Life Insurance
Up to 6 times annual salary to a maximum of $1,000,000.

Disability Income Insurance
Two and five year benefit periods available. Covers accident and sickness on and off the job.

Guarantee Issue Universal Life Insurance
With "Living Benefits" including a long-term care rider.

Limited Supplemental Medical Plan
With a prescription drug program. Vision and Dental plans also available.

Catastrophic Major Medical Insurance
Designed to further cover a member and/or their family in the event they are faced with a major illness or accident. To be eligible for participation in this program all covered plan participants must have and maintain an underlying core health plan that meets or exceeds this plan's minimum basic requirements.
